### CLOCKS :

Four type of Questions in Clocks.

1.Coincide or together =0

2.Right angle or Perpendicular=90

Formula to solve the clock problems

### If  the hands of the clock are  :

perpendicular in 15-minute spaces apart

in a straight line and opposite to each other in 30-minute spaces apart.

in a straight line when they coincide or opposite to each other.

perpendicular to each other for 22 times in 12 hours and for 44 times in a day.

opposite to each other for 11 times in 12 hours and 22 times in a day.

The hands of the clock coincide with each other for 11 times in 12 hours and 22 times per day

The hands of the clock are 44 times in a straight line per day.

The minute hand gains 55 minutes over hour hand per hour.

There are four models in clocks

1:  Coincide / together

2:  Right angle / Perpendicular

3:  opposite

4:  Find out angle

Example :

At what time between 3 and 4 both the hands are coincided to each other

Shortcut Method :

We can solve the above problem without using the formula(To save time).

At time 3 degrees clock minute hand at 12 & hour hand at 3.

For coincide both the hands, the minute hand will have to move from 12 to 3 so it will take 15 minutes.

Answer is = 15(15/11) = 16(4/11)

Here 15>11 so divide the 15/11 the quotient is 1. reminder is 4. add the quotient to 15 i.e 15+1=16
