IELTS listening introduction

IELTS listening introduction overview of the Listening module.

On the second day of the exam.  “Listening” will be the first test.

The time given for test is 30 minutes.

IELTS listening introduction an extra 10 minutes is given to transfer the answers from question paper to answer paper. So, The total duration would be around 40 minutes.

 

 

IELTS  Listening Introduction

 

There are four sections in this module.

In Section 1 you will listen to a conversation between two people set in an everyday social backdrop.

In Section 2 you will listen to a monologue set in an everyday social context.

In Section 3 you will listen to a conversation between two to four people set in an educational context.

In Section 4 you will listen to a monologue on an academic subject.

There are total forty questions in this module. Out of which, Each section will have 10 questions.

Monologue is one person talking.

It’s something like a speech.

It could be a seminar or a class.

Dialogue is a conversation between two people.

A group of people talking about a topic can be called discussion.

IELTS Listening Introduction

Section 1:

In Section 1 you will listen to a conversation between two people set in an everyday social backdrop. Example,  a conversation n in an accommodation agency.

 

In Section 2 you will listen to a monologue set in an everyday social context. Example,  a speech about local facilities.

In Section 3 you will listen to a conversation between two to four people set in an educational context. Example,   a university tutor and a student discussing an assignment.

In Section 4 you will listen to a monologue on an academic subject. Example, a university lectures.
